Being on the continent, our real estate agent recommended Grey Owl for a housing inspection as we purchase a new home for our parents to return home. Steve was an exceptional inspector whose primary focus is safety. Since we are in California, he was able to guide us through his findings explaining in great detail a summary of what he found, taking us around the house on phone video call. He also suggested possible solutions and causes for each issue he found. He was open to every question we had. His thoroughness was greatly appreciated. I wholeheartedly would recommend Steve and Grey Owl to anyone looking for an inspector that would put safety first and take the time to completely walk you through their report.

Carl was the name of the inspector who did the inspection. Carl introduced himself, as respectful and pleasant. He was comfortable not nervous and business-minded. Carl walked through the apartment/condo looking at things and taking pictures. He was turning fans, stove, washer, dishwasher on to see if they were operable, Sliding doors, AC Units, electrcal outlets, windows, closet doors. Carl was very thorough and would make comments as he went through the unit. I learned many things for example one GFCI outlet was not active.

Steve was very thorough and honest. He noted concerns with details such as washer drainage issue and electrical outlets outdated, as well as bigger items like drainage/settling observations and electrical wiring safety issues in the attic.
